We depend on the generosity of the general public which enables us to continue our life-saving work. We are registered with the Fundraising Regulator and aim to ensure that our fundraising is respectful, open, honest, legal and accountable.
We recognise the benefits that can arise from collaborative working with industry and have led a number of research and quality improvement projects that have been supported by pharmaceutical partners.
We are committed to understanding what causes kidney disease and to discovering new and better ways to treat it, to make life better for all those people living with kidney disease.
Stem cell research is vital in helping researchers understand the causes of kidney diseases and developing therapies to treat it.
We want to free lives from the restrictions, fear and life-limiting nature of kidney disease. We will be a charity where everyone feels like they belong, and benefits from and participates in the work we do.
Around 5,000 people in the UK are waiting for a kidney transplant at any time, yet only around 3,500 transplants are carried out each year.
We're committed to funding vital research into improving the longevity and effectiveness of transplants, and to helping more organs be made available for transplant.
