Take action this World Kidney Day!
World Kidney Day takes place on Thursday 9 March – and there’s plenty you can do to get involved.
Supporting kidney wellbeing
Do you know someone who has recently been diagnosed with kidney disease? We can give them a helping hand with their wellbeing! This World Kidney Day we are offering patients a free kidney kit packed with information about diet, exercise and living life to the full with kidney disease. Designed with new patients in mind, it contains hints and tips from patients, volunteers and celebrity ambassadors.
If there is someone you would like to introduce to the charity who you think would benefit from this kit, please share this news so they can sign up for their Kidney Kit.

Fundraise your way for #Challenge12
Help us raise money this World Kidney Day to fund vital research! In solidarity with the kidney patients who spend around 12 hours dialysing each week, take on #Challenge12 to raise money through sponsorship, donations and fundraising sales.
It’s easy to get involved. Perhaps you can get creative and knit 12 scarves to sell to raise £120, livestream a 12 hour quiz night with 12 teams, or cook up a storm and invite 12 friends for a black tie dinner party. Or you could get moving and cycle for 12 hours or complete 12,000 steps every day in March. Or you could get together with friends and family and bake your way to fundraising success by holding a bake sale, bake 12 delicious cakes and aim to raise £120, or set a treasure hunt with 12 teams and 12 different clues. The list of possibilities is endless!
Simply choose your own #Challenge12 fundraising goal, set up your fundraising page and you’re ready to go. Just remember to incorporate the number 12! You can take part on or around World Kidney Day or pledge your own #Challenge12 and do it your way in your own time.
It’s not too late to sign up!
Get social
You can add to the noise on social media on World Kidney Day – let’s get trending!
Join our focus on wellbeing, and share your positive hints and tips for making living with kidney disease easier. We know how difficult life with kidney disease can be, but we want to shine a light on the little (or big) hints and tips that make it just that little bit easier. Start your post with “My top kidney tip is...” and don’t forget to tag us in.
